Ask effective questions

Learn how to ask the right questions to improve your questioning technique.

As a leader, your questions often have a greater impact than your answers. Great questions can ignite critical reflection and reveal valuable information. So, practice asking open-ended questions and listening attentively. It seems so simple, yet it’s practiced too little.

“How would you suggest we proceed?”

Such questions invite reflection and help your employees discover their own insights. Actually, coaching sessions with great open-ended questions is one of the best ways to mentor an employee with experience to find his or her own solutions.
